I’ve been meaning to write this for a while, but it wasn’t until this past Sunday that I felt the clear nudge to finally sit down and do it. During service at CPC in Danville, the message was about listening more to God—quieting the noise, opening your heart, and paying attention to how He speaks.

After church, my wife and I were standing outside when Pastor Tyler Scott walked right past us. He looked directly at me, reached out, and shook my hand—only mine. That moment hit differently. It felt intentional, like a sign. That small gesture from someone I deeply admire was God’s way of saying, “Now’s the time.” So here I am, finally writing the words I’ve carried with me for far too long.

Tyler Scott is more than a pastor. He’s a role model, a servant leader, and someone whose passion for God, family, and community radiates in everything he does. From the very first time I heard him preach at CPC Danville, I was captivated—not just by his words, but by his sincerity, authenticity, and the way he makes God’s message feel personal and relevant.

He doesn’t just preach; he connects. Tyler intertwines scripture with stories from his life—stories that resonate, challenge, and inspire. Every sermon feels like a conversation, one that reminds me of who I want to be: a better husband, a more faithful believer, and a man who leads with love, grace, and purpose.

My wife and I were incredibly lucky to have him officiate our wedding, a moment we’ll cherish forever. It made our special day even more meaningful, knowing the person who helped guide us spiritually was there to bless our union.

I admire so much about Tyler:

• His love for his wife and kids is both beautiful and humbling.

• His dedication to CPC and the Danville community.

• His passion for helping others grow in their faith.

• His ability to lead with wisdom, vulnerability, and strength.

• And of course—his unwavering loyalty as a die-hard 49ers fan.

As a small business owner in the Bay Area, running MART1N AGENCY, I often think about the values I want to infuse into my work—faith, service, community, and authenticity. Tyler embodies all of that and more. He inspires me not just in my personal walk with God but also in how I show up for others in business and life.

If you attend CPC Danville and haven’t taken the time to speak with him, I encourage you to do so. Shake his hand. Say hello. You’ll leave with a sense of comfort, connection, and maybe even the nudge you didn’t know you needed—just like I did.

Cheers to Pastor Tyler Scott.

Thank you for being a light in our community and in my life.
